A Vice President of Clinical Rehab Therapies:
  • Oversees direction, guidance, training and support provided by regional therapies support teams. As appropriate, monitors budget and expenses, develops RDR team goals and objectives, coordinates activities of RDR team members and provides status reports to senior management.
  • Directs RDR staff to facilitate clinical and program training for Therapies and Specialties clinicians as well as operations and orientation to given positions for managers, clinicians, as well as non-clinical staff in collaboration with the VP-Clinical Operations. Ensures communication and information flows between Central support and the field organizations.
  • Works with VP-Clinical Operations, the RDR team, Innovation/New Development/Research and senior management to identify opportunities for growth and plan specific actions to support same.
  • Provides consultation and collaborates with clinical and business development associates to ensure the successful implementation of revenue producing programs, specialties and new initiatives. Evaluates proposed initiatives, staffing structures, process re-engineering efforts to understand operational/administrative burden and ensure they meet company, regulatory and clinical standards and that they are operationally sound. Makes recommendations for changes accordingly.
  • Travels to branch sites to evaluate and assist Therapies' regional, area and branch support staff process analysis methodologies in collaboration with clinical operations teams. Provides guidance, direction and interpretation of policies to line management and field staff on matters affecting delivery of service to patients and in the implementation and maintenance of specialty programs at the Branch level.
  • Participates in directing the Field audit team in collaboration with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure that offices maintain compliance with Company Compliance requirements, state/local and federal requirements as well as company standards. Maintains consistent communication with office, area and senior line management regarding Therapies' role in office compliance.
  • Oversees and ensures consistency in Therapies support staff's direction to offices and line management. Provides assistance and support in local and regional Performance Improvement activities. Works with senior management to develop and analyze key indicator reports to identify trends and determine support and educational needs to drive improvement. Directs development of action plans to identify areas for improvement and provides education to Therapies' divisional and regional support staff on Company policy, clinical process and procedures.
  • Works with Rehab and Therapies Directors, Clinical Operations management and line managers to identify trends and prioritize offices in need of support resources.
  • In collaboration with the VP-Clinical Ops, proactively drives improvement in efficient provision of care while protecting or improving patient outcomes. Assists staff and line management to determine the best strategies for managing therapies resource utilization in providing patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or the equivalent.
  • A minimum of ten years clinical experience.
  • Five years supervisory or management experience in home health care required.
  • Current licensure in at least one state and solid knowledge of home health operations/regulations required.
  • Able to work collaboratively both as a team player and leader to accomplish major new initiatives.
  • Strong people skills, high emotional intelligence, good communication skills and the ability to build and sustain productive teams.
